Two works with an interest in the Cornish Language Henry Jenner. 'A Handbook of the Cornish Language, chiefly in its latest stages with some account of its History and Literature', first eddition, gilt embossed, armorial to front cover, 208 pages plus 14 pages of advertising Celtic Studies, with the bookplate of Richard Pearce Couch (Mayor of Penzance 1898-1899) signed by him J.A.D.Bridger Sticker, a very good copy, publisher, David Nutt, 57-59 Long Acre, London, 1904. Frederick William Pearce Jago. 'The Ancient Language and the Dialect of Cornwall, with an enlarged glossary of Cornish Provincial Words, also an appendix containing a list of writers on Cornish Dialect and additional information about Dolly Pentreath, the last known person who spoke the ancient Cornish as her mother tongue', first edition, in original blue binding, gilt lettering to spine, with new endpapers, two small white spos on front cover otherwise an extremely good copy, published by Netherton & Worth, Truro, 1882.
