A large Chinese blue and white tripod censer, Ming Dynasty, 16th century, of cylindrical form, raised on three cabriole feet and painted with scrolling lotus and the eight Buddhist emblems (bajixiang), 25cm tall, 27.5cm diameter, minor faults.

Typical minor glaze imperfections including light fritting to the upper rim and an underglaze black mark towards the base of the body. There are several shallow splinter chips to the rim, five of which are obvious. There are several light surface abrasions and scratches throughout.
