A large Chinese silk hanging or cover, Qing Dynasty, the ground in deep blue silk, embroidered centrally in gold threads with two large dragons, in combat, worked in several different stitches, giving relief to parts of the body, the eyes prominent, a couched thread design to each corner, the edges applied with blue cord, backed with woven silk in green and yellow, approx. 115 cm by 112 cm
The silk is slightly faded towards the centre and a small area is wearing thin at this point. The edging cord needs to be resecured in places. Light surface marking toward the bottom right corner.
