A good c.1900 light pink mother of pearl fan, the leaf of gold lamé overlaid with cream silk, cut away in places and embroidered with minute gold sequins and larger silver sequins and spangles, designed with a central floral spray, mounted à l’anglaise, guard approx. 21cm; together with a light and dainty bone fan, the monture shaped and gilded, the cream silk leaf cut away to reveal a thin gauze painted with delicate poppies and violets, the reserves filled with gold and silver spangles, guard approx. 19cm (2)
Both in good firm condition, just two folds of the backing chiffon on fan 2 slightly splitting.
