A MAGNIFICENT LATE GEORGE III ORMOLU MOUNTED MUSICAL BRACKET CLOCK, the large figured mahogany case with inverted bell top pediment above pierced silk lined sound frets and glazed door flanked by ormolu mounted canted corners on moulded base raised on large scrolled acanthus leaf feet, the 10" arched brass dial with gilt winged cherub head spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a matt gilt centre, the arch with two subsidiary dial for Chime/Silent and tune selection inscribed "RICHER'S HORNPIPE, JIGG BY GREEN, HORNPIPE, LADY HOPE'S REEL, MUMFRINA, GARLAND OF LOVE". The triple chain driven fusee movement with signed and engraved backplate chiming one of seven tunes on 13 bells and striking the hours and quarters on two separate bells. (93cm high )
