A smokebox numberplate, 42616, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-4T No 2616 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 24372, in 1937, becoming BR 42616. A long time Aston engine, it spent its final years at Watford and later Willesden, Carnforth, Birkenhead and Low Moor from where it was withdrawn in October 1967 and sold for scrap to Drapers at Hull.
