HANOVER/GOUTERS-KIRCHEN - RED "No.16/49/GRANDE ARMEE" MARKS ON COVERS TO PARIS/PRONSFELD; 26 Nov. 1808 EL from General Gilly of the 3rd Division "de l'Armee du Rhin" at "Hanovre" to Paris with a mainly very fine red "No.16./GRANDE ARMEE" mark nicely placed on the front charged "8[decimes]"; plus 23 Mar. 1813 EL from "Gouters-Kirchen" (near "Laubach") to "Pronsfelt" from a soldier of the 5th Regiment with a mainly fine red "No.49/GRANDE ARMEE" mark on the front.
