AN UNUSUAL IRISH WAR OF INDEPENDENCE MEMORIAL WALKING STICK.
A rustic wooden walking stick with broad curving handle, probably Ash retaining the bark, with an attached brass plaque 'J.D.R. Dublin Nov 27th 1920 Lest we forget', 94cm. 'Bloody Sunday' on 21st November 1920, was a day when more than thirty people were killed or fatally wounded during the Irish War of Independence. It is possible that the inscription on this walking stick relates to one of those who died fighting in the War of Independence.
