Early 19th century Mirecourt guitar indistinctly branded, possibly 'Dubois, Mirecourt'; Back and sides: burr laminate upon spruce, hairlines to sides, further surface marks throughout; Top: fine grain natural spruce, general play wear, shadow around bridge suggesting previous restoration carried out in this area, pearl and ebony banding to edges; Neck: ebonised, reinforcement repair to head graft with three screws inserted through head face; Fretboard: ebony; Frets: good; Hardware: one replacement tuning strip, G string tuner damaged; Case: semi-rigid case; Nut with: 45mm; Scale length: 640mm; Overall condition: good for age
