A late 19th to early 20th Century violin with spruce sound board and one piece maple back, bearing spurious paper label 'Antonius Stradnarius Cremona, faciebat anno 1783', length of back including button 35cm and overall length 56cm, A/F, complete with an un-named bow and black painted pine case, together with another early 20th Century violin with dark stained spruce soundboard and two-piece maple back, stamped HOPF below the button, length of back including the button is 37cm and overall length 59cm, complete with unnamed bow and case. (2)

Stadnarius violin - The tailpiece is broken and will need replacing. The button to the lower bout is present. There are scuffs between the F-holes.
HOPF violin - Scuffs and scratches in places but no splits. The case is in a tired condition and the carry handle is detached
