Collection of WW1 mostly German photographs (odd printed card) of shot down and crashed aircraft, many with postcard backs, vendor has done extensive research and in many instances, has identified the crew of the aircraft and their fate, and often who shot them down. An example "Crashed BE2c 1734 of 2 Sqn on January 5 1916. Lt W.E. Somervell & Lt G.C. Formilli WIA POW, downed by Ltn Oswald Boelcke, his 7th victory." Also "Max Immelmann's crashed Fokker EIII 246/16 in which he was killed on 18th June 1916." Cards in mixed condition. Qty 30 (R)
