A ROYAL CROWN DERBY VASE AND PLATE PAINTED BY W E J DEAN, the vase of squat shouldered form with a knopped rim, painted with a vignette of a house by a stream, signed W E J Dean, on a cobalt blue ground with gilt foliate details, bearing red printed backstamp and date cypher for 1920, height 11cm, together with a wavy rimmed plate, titled on the back 'Lion Rock Dovedale', painted with a view of the scene and signed W E J Dean, diameter 22.5cm (2) (Condition Report: generally ok, plate has a couple of small chips on the foot rim, vase has some tiny minor scratches on the blue ground, each has a little gilding wear in places)
