1849 Florin, Victoria (ESC 802, Bull 2815, S.3890). Graded MS65, choice uncirculated with lustre and presented in a Coinery Collection holder. The so-called "Godless" florin was introduced into circulation but quickly rebuked by the population for omitting D:G or DEI GRATIA (By the Grace of God) from the legends with the reworked "Gothic" design introduced into circulation in 1852. An extremely scarce coin at this level with only 17 examples graded higher in the 500+ recorded across both PCGS & NGC.
