The XK8 was launched in 1996 to replace the XJ-S. Two body styles were produced - a coupé and a convertible. The car was the first in the Jaguar line-up to use Jaguar's newly developed V8 engine - the AJ-V8. In 1999 the supercharged XKR was added to the range. The XKR featured 370 supercharged horsepower, a subtle rear spoiler, wire mesh front grille, and red exterior emblems.
The vendor states that this is a great example of the Jaguar XK8, presented in blue with black leather interior. Showing 74,000 miles on the clock, and only 24,000 in the last 10 years. MOT until October 11 2018. The exterior of the car is in excellent condition with no signs of rust, the interior is also in exceptional condition, all dials and switches work. The engine is starts and runs with no visible smoke and the gearbox changes as it should.
The present owner has spent over £6,000 in the last 2 years, including complete front suspension rebuild, brakes and hubs alternator etc, all carried out by Thruxton Jaguar and documented. A very good example of this model.
