AFRICA: A shoebox containing an ex-dealer's stock of 1900s-1960s, mostly unused cards showing various parts of Africa with a bias towards the south but inc. cards from all over the continent. A complete mixture of countries, subjects and periods, predominantly B&W inc. real-photo types. Town views concentrate on key buildings and general views with very few waterfalls, deserts and coastal views but many of the cards especially those of natives show features of daily life. Would benefit from sorting into countries or themes. (c.300) Cross Reference: THEMATICS, SOUTH AFRICA, FRENCH COLONIES
