Mike Francis (1938 - 2023) - a piece of original highly detailed mixed media artwork by British artist Mike Francis, created for the 'Donington Collection' series of 30 Will's Castella Cigar cards, issued in 1993. The artwork features a man getting into a Maserati BCM, next to a mechanic. Mounted and signed to the bottom right corner. Measuring approximately 30 cm x 42 cm.
Mike Francis (9th May 1938 - 1st June 2023) was a British illustrator who spent his early life as one of London's most talented illustrators, winning the 1974 National Portrait Gallery's 150th Anniversary Poster Competition and then spending the next 15 years with the Nicolas Treadwell Gallery pioneering the Superhumanist Art Movement in London and showing his paintings all over the world. He continued to paint up until the final year of his life, producing over 5000 works, mostly oil and acrylic paintings on canvas.
