Walter Wilson was born in Leicester; he attested age 18 years on 24th September 1884, joining his local regiment. He landed in India in 1886 and saw active service in Burma. Discharged in 1891, he re-joined in February 1897 and saw service during the Boer War. Medals and clasps confirmed.
