A large Japanese patinated bronze vase - Meiji period (1868-1912), of eight lobed baluster form with dark red-brown patination, decorated in high relief with Oriental pheasants amidst branches peony flowers to one side and ducks and chrysanthemums by a pond to the other, the waisted neck decorated with elliptical ruyi and diaper decoration, the base with a foliate wreath plaque, 45.75cm. high.

* Condition: Good, with dust and dirt to upper surfaces but no dents, splits or repairs. Small casting flaw to edge of base. Overall in good, original condition.
