A YELLOW METAL AND CARNELIAN MOURNING RING, of an oval form, set with a central oval cut polished carnelian inlay, within a black enamel surround which reads 'Sarah Machin OB 17 Aug 1789', personal engraving to the inside of the ring reads 'We hope to meet again', engraved detail to the shoulders tapering onto a thin polished band, unmarked, signs of a repair/resize, ring size U, approximate gross weight 4.5 grams (condition report: there is wear to the black enamel in places in keeping with age, polished carnelian inlay is in good condition, band is very thin with signs of a repair or resize)
