LLANELLY TOOTH PASTE POT LID. 2.4ins square. Described in ‘Historical Guide to Advertising Pot Lids’ by Houghton, Layden & Taylor (p627) this exact same pot lid is illustrated and described as bearing a “stunning set of teeth pictorial.”
There are a couple of underside base flakes which don’t spoil the display factor of this exceptional rarity. The rust, as it was dug, has been left on the lid - to clean or not to clean? An especially significant, once in a lifetime opportunity, to acquire a very special UK pot lid ‘gem!’ (8/10)
