CAPTAIN MATSUMOTO WENT ON TO FIGHT AS A SEA CAPTAIN ON THE ROYAL IMPERIAL NAVY SHIP "FUJI" SINKING THE RUSSIAN BATTLESHIP "BORODINO" AT THE BATTLE OF TSUSHIMA AND WAS THEN PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF ADMIRAL AND THEN REAR ADMIRAL.
THE MEDAL ITSELF IS MADE FROM IWAMI GINZAN SILVER WITH A MATCHING FOB CHAIN 45mm x 3mm
