The Bentley Turbo R is a high-performance car which was produced from 1985 to 1999. The "R" stood for "Roadholding", to set it apart from its predecessor. It initially inherited the turbo-charged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo and also sported a re-tuned suspension and wider tyres on alloy wheels, a first for a Bentley. From the 1987 model year, however, the Turbo R's V8 engine was upgraded with fuel injection for added torque. Motor Trend called the Turbo R, "the first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name". There were 5196 SWB and 2034 LWB models built.
The example offered here is described by the vendor as showing well inside and out, and although it is 25 years old, it still feels very quick by modern standards. It has nice cosmetics throughout and it runs and drives like a dream, being one of the most comfortable cars around. It comes with almost all previous MOTs showing the mileage to be correct. It comes with all receipts for any work done and the vendor believes the car used to belong to a motor museum. It has been thoroughly looked after and has full Bentley service history, with all Bentley stamps in the history book.
