Kildare. V. good. Rare.

Kirkpatrick was born in Wellington, India, & died in Celbridge, Co. Kildare. A Roman Catholic, educated in Downside, he was a diplomat, and expert on German Politics & had met with Benito Mussolini & Adolf Hitler. When Rudolph Hess fled to Scotland in May 1941, it was Kirkpatrick who was sent to formerly identify him, as he had met him in the 30's. (1)
