Tom Phillips is an English artist and was elected to the Royal Academy in 1984. Phillips went on to chair the Academy's Library and its Exhibition Committee and was made a CBE for services to the Arts in 2002 In 2005, he was appointed Slade Professor of Fine Art, at the University of Oxford.
Provenance: Acquired by Heather Anderson in 2013 by direct contact with the artist after the purchase of his work following an exhibition at the Royal Academy.
