19th century Japanese lacquered caddy/chest with gilt pagoda landscape decoration, with twin brass handles, 10" wide 7" deep 6.5" high
The gilt highlighted decoration very heavily worn and faded notably to the hinged cover, lacquer damage and loss to the rear corners around the hinges, split and damage to the underside to one foot, white damp marks and small abrasions, splits to the lacquer to the interior corners, no key, small repairs around the rim and underside of cover, overall decoration definition loss and a little tired, please see additional images as a guide
