George VI (1936-1952), Proof Sovereign, 1937, bare head left, toothed borders both sides within wire line circle, HP below truncation for designer Humphrey Paget. Rev, Saint George slaying the Dragon, date in exergue, B.P to the right for Benedett o Pistrucci, edge plain, (S.4076; W&R 439). The faintest of hairlines, fi elds mirrored set against a darker hue of gold giving the coveted cameo aesthetic, portrait exceptional, few toning spots. Executed with highly polished dies, much as struck. Exceptional. Encapsulated and graded by PCGS as Proof 65 Cameo.
