MEDALLION. Calendar Medal, England, 1766, by John Powell, 38mm, brass, this year not in Ackerman, Fine+, small flan flaw. John Powell was the only maker to straddle both the Julian and Gregorian calendars, striking single year calendar medals in an uninterrupted series from 1746 to 1782.
