Imperial German Cuirassier Officers Sword with double fulleed blade 885mm in length, maker marked to both spine of blade and ricasso "Ewald Cleff, Solingen". Echeted gilded panels to blade with Crowned Eagle and "Eisenhauer" along with orignal officers name "Wilhelm Hewel". Opposite side of the blade is decorated with a gilded panel featuring piled Arms. Brass guard which retains it's original leather finger strap, wire bound Shagreen grip. Overall length 103.5cm. No scabbard.
