ANCIENT EGYPT FAIENCE BEADS MUMMY MASK WITH FOUR SONS OF HORUS AND WINGED SCARAB, LATE PERIOD

Faience beads mummy mask dates back to the Late Period (664–332 BCE). The mask is adorned with intricate depictions of the Four Sons of Horus, key figures in Egyptian mythology, tasked with protecting the internal organs of the deceased. Central to the design is a winged scarab, a powerful symbol of rebirth and eternal life in ancient Egyptian culture.

The mask is composed of multicolored faience beads, arranged to form a stylized face with serene, almond-shaped eyes, and a body adorned with sacred symbols. The vibrant colors, including shades of turquoise, ivory, and deep red. 

Provenance: From Mariaud de Serres collection, Paris 1980-90s.
