AN EARLY NINETEENTH CENTURY TOBY JUG AND A MODERN NOVELTY SOUP TUREEN, the jug in the form of a seated Toby figure holding a jug of foaming ale, with barrel and clay pipe details, various paper labels to base including Freeth Collection label, height 24.5cm, together with a large modern soup tureen in the form of a hen, marked to base Made in Portugal, with ladle, height 29cm (2) (Condition Report: Toby jug has extensive restoration to the brim of his hat with some visible cracks, a loss to the spout of his jug, hairlines to base and lower chair, firing cracks and some historic shallow chips, wear commensurate with age, light crazing, hen tureen has a chip on the cover, a couple of smaller glaze chips, and crazing throughout, soup ladle has chips)
