A George IV silver teapot, maker Richard Pearce & George Burrows, London, 1838, of ovoid form, the shallow domed hinged lid with flowerhead finial, the lobed sides decorated with birds and foliage, with capped spout and handle, raised on four foliate feet, 30cm long, 948gms, 30.50ozs (Exemption ref 93HCDSWQ)
Overall condition is only at best fair. All marks are rubbed and worn to the body but clear to the lid. There are numerous creases and dents to the lower half of the pot and it has been patched in two places There are no signs of any erasure or thinning. There are no other signs of any repairs or restoration not already mentioned. The lid sits flat to the body but the hinge pin is worn so the wobbles.
