A MID 18TH CENTURY FLINTLOCK GUN BY JOHNSON. With a 96.5cm tapering circular barrel with stamped proof marks, with a flintlock action with tall frizzen, the lock plate signed J A Johnson in a rococo cartouche, also decorated with a floral motif behind the cock. The trigger with a fine scrolling end, within a decorative brass trigger guard and stock mounts, with a vacant rococo cartouche and carved shell to the stock of well figured maple. 132cm overall *Condition: Lacking ramrod, pitted and rubbed surfaces.
