19th Century Japanese Wakizashi Short Sword With Signed Tang and Tsuba
22 inch, single edged blade of typical form. Rear flat with narrow fuller. Gilt copper habaki. Tang with six character signature. Chiselled steel, lily leaf tsuba with six character signature. Contained in its lacquered wooden scabbard. Hilt absent. Steel with some rusting. Scabbard damaged. Overall 27 inches.
