Interesting modern ebonised end-blown flute by and stamped Strathmann, with simple system keywork, case

*The Strathmann Flute was the brainchild of Arnfred R Strathmann. Basically a recorder style design but with saxophone style keys and the flute/saxophone characteristic of overblowing at the octave rather than the 12th. He had hoped it would become a poular choice in children’s musical education. His patented adjustable windway was designed to allow adjustment if the fipple expanded during playing, a trait which can cause recorder players problems. There are several inks to the patent on internet website.
