A good collection of silver plate and some Sheffield plate, including two pairs of bottle coasters, one pair with pierced sides, the other with cast and applied rims of trailing vines, 20.5 by 5.5cm, together with a pair of Georgian style gravy boat with beaded rims and flying acanthus handles, a large teapot with ivory insulators to handle, 26 by 23.5cm, and a rectangular box with two lion mask handles by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co, 19 by 11.5 by 8.5cm. (q) Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
