A worksplate, ANDREW BARCLAY, 1458, 1916, from a standard gauge 0-6-0ST which was new to the Ministry of Munitions factory at Houston, near Paisley, Renfrewshire as number 3. It was later sold to the Lothian Coal Co. Ltd, Newbattle Collieries, Newtongrange, Midlothian. Passed to the NCB in January 1947 and continued to work at Newbattle until sent to the adjacent NCB workshops in 1970. Later preserved by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society at the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, where it still remains. Cast brass, 17¾"x11¾", in ex loco condition. (Postage Band: C)
