Edouard Travies - 3 prints of Birds of Prey 1839.
These original hand-coloured steel engravings are from The Complete Works of Buffon, with extracts from Daubenton, and the classification of Cuvier. Published by Furne et Cie, Paris 1839. The hand-coloured plates, heightened with gum arabic, were engraved by Manceau, Fournier, Pardinel after original drawings by Edouard Travies.
Size: 7in x 10.5in (18cm x 27cm).
The prints are in excellent condition with occasional age related marks. Please inspect the images carefully
