A .577" prize Volunteer 3 band Enfield percussion rifle to the Queen's Westminster Rifles, by the London Armoury Company, 55" overall, barrel 39" with ordnance proofs and inspector's marks, the lock bearing crowned "VR" and "1865" over "L.A.Co", dark walnut fullstock with deeply chequered fore end and wrists, the butt stamped with circular L.A.C. 1865 mark over "26 King Wm Street E.C." and with inset circular brass plaque engraved "Queen's Westminster R.V., 15th Company PRIZE WON BY B. HITCHCOCK 21st Decr. 1866"; with brass mounts, nipple protector and chain, steel ramrod, single sling swivel, and Hinde's Patent brass muzzle and fore sight cover.
