1842 Victoria gold Sovereign, closed 2 (S 3852, Marsh 25). Obverse, smaller Young Head portrait by William Wyon, facing left with the date (1842) below and 'VICTORIA DEI GRATIA' around. Reverse: crowned shield of royal arms surrounded by a laurel wreath, national flowers below and 'BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF:' around. Weight: 7.94g. Diameter: 22mm. Grade: VF - Very Fine, the reverse possibly better. Comes with old ticket.
