AN EXTREMELY RARE WWI US ARMY MESSAGE ROCKET, used to send messages between trenches, it was designed to be fired from a ten bore small arm, possibly their MKIII Remington Signal pistol, fitted with a long barrel, the nose and tube allows paperwork and messages to be fired from one point to another, the bases has spring loaded fins/vanes to stabilise flight etc
