A mid to late 19th century brass carriage clock signed 'Dent, 61 Strand, London', the signed enamel dial with Roman numerals and spade hands, with corniche style case, the movement striking the half hour on a gong, 5 ¾in. (14.6cm.) high with handle down. *Top line of signature worn, possibly 'examined by'. **Edward John Dent and his stepson Frederick Dent built the movement for 'Big Ben' while located at 61 The Strand, London.
