ENGLISH SHAFT & GLOBE BOTTLE. 7ins tall. A quite magnificent c. 1675-1685 shaft & globe black glass form, base pontil. Heavily patinated characterful body encompassing many different colours - from black through to gold. The highly attractive surface appears completely stable. Various David Walker Barker base stickers, one revealing this example was recovered from the River Dee, Nr Chester.
