An original Maura Muckian oil on canvas painting titled "Lough Walk Carlingford." Rendered in an impressionistic style in a palette of oranges and blues. Signed M. Muckian bottom right. With inscription to verso reading 'From technicians Louth Co.Council Thurs. Aug. 10th 2000.' Sticker of authenticity as well as title sticker to verso also. Housed in a wooden frame with hessian border. Muckian has a strong auction history with works fetching into the early hundreds.

Maura Muckian was born in Carlingford and currently works from her studio there. She works mainly in oils, but also uses pastels, acrylic and watercolours. She exhibits her work widely and her work is held in many public collections including those of The Office of Public Works, Dundalk Institute of Technology and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Northern Ireland.
