French M1831 Pattern Artillery Short Sword with braod double edged blade 464mm in length, maker marked and dated "Chatellerault 1838". Heavy cast brass hilt marked with an accountability number "1075". Overall length 613mm. No scabbard.
Blade has old rust pitting overall.
