Bellary. c.1918 Printed "I am well" type P.O.W cards, the reverse text in Arabic script, the front with printed heading "PRISONERS OF WAR CORRESPONDENCE / ON POSTAL SERVICE / No stamp required" and camp imprint in English, one card used to Turkey with Bombay censor and arrival c.d.s, the other card unused. Also two official covers with cachet of the Camp Commandant to R.F Stoney in Madras, one franked Service ½a pair, the other hand delivered, and a letter from the camp to Stoney signed by Lt-Col. R.F Bidwell "I enclose a few covers and postcards as issued to Prisoners of War, these are the only types in use at this camp". The used postcard a little creased and stained, nevertheless very scarce, this card not recorded by Burrows. (5).
