A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO TO THE YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. A Great War Trio comprising 1914-15 Star named to 17448 Pte R.J. Humble York: R. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. Robert James Humble served with the 6th, 7th and 10th Battalions of the Yorkshire Regiment, enlisting on the 8th September 1918 he entered France on the 9th September 1915 and is recorded as being wounded on the 6th October 1915, 21st July 1917 and 15th November 1917 being entitled to a wound stripe on each occasion. He was discharged at the end of May 1918 with Silver War Badge number 366574. *CR lightly polished. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
