A Victorian Regimental Silver Table Snuff Box, of The Prince Consort's Own Rifle Brigate/Crimean War Interest, of plain oval double compartmented form with hinged covers and continuos reeded bands and nurled decoration to the outer side walls, the outer covers engraved with two regimental badges, further engraved to the inside covers ''PRESENTED BY CAPTns ROSS & EGERTON ON THE FORMATION OF THE REGIMENT,' and 'MESS OF THE 3RD BATT RIFLE BRIGADE, APRIL 1856,' hallmarks to base and inside each cover, London, 1855, maker's mark of Charles Rawlings & William Summers, 362.4 grams, 13x9x4cm. Condition: Engraved decoration to the outer covers and nurling worn.
