WW1 French Private Purchase Fighting Knife by Brevete. A good scarce example of a commercially manufactured trench fighting knife. The blade is made from the 1871 Gras bayonet and is fitted to an aluminium hilt with chequered cut decoration. The hilt stamped with the maker "Brevete".
