A silver sweetmeat or bon-bon dish designed by Dr Christopher Dresser ((1834-1904) for Roberts and Belk, of double basket form, with curled in edges and woven rush-work handle, model number 2700, this design is an example similar to one produced for Hukin and Heath and more usually seen in silver plate as with the example in the Victoria and Albert Museum collection number M.14-1970, record number was also produced for Roberts and Belk by Dresser when working as a freelance designer during the 1880's, Roberts & Belk (Charles Belk & E Parkin), Sheffield 1884, 13.69toz, 19 by 16.5 by 15cm high.
