WW2 4th South African Armoured Car Regiment Desert Rats Beret and Uniform. A rare example worn by a Lieutenant circa 1941/42. Black armoured beret, this retaining original "IV" cap badge, of the pattern worn by the 4th SAACR, this with pin fitting and most probably theatre made. The lining of the beret is now worn away, no dates present ... Service dress tunic. This of the regulation pattern, tailored with the 1941 pattern South African Tank Corps collar badges, SA buttons and Lieutenant rank stars. Also with the addition of the South African Desert Rats 7th Armoured cloth badge and volunteer bars to the epaulettes. Tunic in near Very Good Condition. (2 items) Accompanied by the book "Springboks in Armourer" etc.
